Welcome to the beautiful and historic town of Rydzyna. Several centuries old setting of this place will give you lots of unforgettable impressions. Rydzyna is located on the boarder line of the Polish historic provinces of Wielkopolska and Silesia. The town was founded at the beginning of the XV century by the landowner (Latin “comes”) Jan of Czernina from the eminent Silesian family of “de Werbno”. The castle, which was built in about 1423, was at the time one of the biggest knights’ residences in the Wielkopolska region. Formerly, it was the residence of the Polish King Stanisław Leszczyński and later of the Wielkopolska family of Sułkowski.
HOW TO GET TO RYDZYNA
The International airports are located in Warsaw - the capital city of Poland (about 400 km from Rydzyna), in Poznań (about 90 km from Rydzyna) and in Wrocław (about 90 km from Rydzyna). Next, you need to take a train from Warsaw, Poznań and Wrocław to Leszno. The most convenient way of travelling from Leszno railway station to Rydzyna is to take a taxi (app. 40-50 PLN - ca. 13 EURO). We recommend Radio Taxi +48 65 5292292.
